Founders Park is a 5 acre, green space area nestled between the heart of Downtown Johnson City and East Tennessee State University. It includes a paved walking path, bridge, creek, amphitheater, and several sculpture installations provided by Johnson City Public Art Committee. The Sculpture Walk Brochure can be view from this link.

The Pavilion at Founders Park is home to the wonderful Johnson City Farmers Market. The market is open April through mid November on Wednesdays and Saturdays, from 7 am – 2 pm. Designed to compliment the two historic train depots that remain in Downtown Johnson City, the Pavilion offers an opportunity to have a covered space for our farmers market vendors, as well as a great location for small concerts, reunions, gatherings and other special events.

The Founders Park area, Pavilion and Amphitheater are available for community groups to rent for events.  For more information on reserving this area, visit the Park Reservation Form page.
