Are you excited about the revitalization occurring in Downtown Johnson City? There are several ways you can be involved!

The Downtown Johnson City Foundation provides funds for public revitalization projects. Some of their projects include:

The Lady of the Fountain. The statue has returned and now stands on the corner of Main and Buffalo Street, along with engraved plaques and bricks from community supporters. Now is your opportunity to make your own mark on Johnson City. You can purchase a brick or plaque to support revitalization projects.

A single brick is priced at $80, with discounts on each additional brick. Plaques are $500.

The 4”x 8” bricks will be placed around the fountain. Each brick can be engraved with up to three of lines of text and 20 characters per line. Many ideas have included names family members, pets, or your own name. Some other engravings have included favorite sports teams, graduation years and quotes.

The old Giant Foods Sign. This sign which stood for many years about Giant Food Store on Commerce Street will now be a beacon to those looking for downtown Johnson City, as well as identifying the new greenspace being built on Commerce Street. A new design for the sign will be unveiled in late January, 2017 along with a fund raising campaign.

Buffalo Street Plaza. This plaza, where the Johnson City Christmas Tree was installed, needs a new look and design. This project will begin once the Giant Food Sign project is complete.
