The newly formed Downtown Merchants Association would like to reach out to all of our downtown merchants to introduce our organization to everyone. We are a group of downtown merchants ourselves that are striving to build a strong, lasting organization that promotes our downtown businesses and helps draw new people into our growing downtown corridor. As you may be aware, we have been spending most of our time planning and executing the first annual Little Chicago Music and Arts Festival, which will take place in downtown on August 12th and 13th. This event is 100% free to the public.

Although our time has been heavily dedicated to this event our long-term goal is to give you, our economic driving force, an organization that you will be proud of and want to be a part of. We are already 27 members strong and would love to have your involvement and feedback so that we can apply it to our mission going forward. Our hope is that this festival will give us an economic kick-start to allow us to put some great programs in place. Please know that if you haven’t been contacted, it is not an oversight on our part. We are simply laser-focused on executing a great event to bring thousands of people downtown. If you would like to be involved or would like to learn more about us, please feel free to attend our weekly festival meetings. Those meetings take place every Wednesday morning at 9:00am at Capone’s. We would love to see you there.
